We extract old blown-in or batt insulation, dispose of it off-site, and install new R4 batts. With the roof space already clear, we can assess and strap the ceiling in the same visit to extend the life of your ceiling.
The service
What the job involves.
Old insulation deteriorates, gets contaminated with vermin waste or moisture, or simply stops performing. When that happens it needs to come out properly, not just shifted around.
We use extraction equipment to pull out blown-in insulation or remove old batts from the roof cavity. All waste comes off-site with us. Once the space is clear, we install new R4 insulation batts as standard.
With the roof space already open, it is also the right time to check the ceiling. If strapping is needed, doing it now costs less per square metre than booking it as a separate job. We include the ceiling assessment at no extra charge.

Old insulation extracted
We remove blown-in insulation using extraction equipment, or pull out old batts. The roof cavity is left clear and clean before anything else happens.
Responsible off-site disposal
All old insulation waste leaves your property with us. Nothing is left on-site. Disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
New R4 batts installed
We supply and fit new R4 insulation batts as the standard offer. Higher ratings are available.
Ceiling strapping at the same time
With insulation out of the way, strapping is faster and better-accessed. Doing both jobs in one visit means a lower rate per square metre than a standalone restrapping job. Every strap job carries a 10-year warranty.
The smart combination
Why doing both jobs at once makes sense.
Ceiling strapping is carried out from the roof space. The work is faster and the access is better when the insulation is not in the way. When we are already up there removing old batts, the overhead to access the ceiling is already covered, which means the strapping rate per square metre comes down.
If your home is pre-1990, or if your ceiling is showing any signs of movement, the insulation removal visit is the best time to get it done. We check the ceiling as part of every insulation removal job at no extra cost and will tell you honestly what we find.
10-year workmanship warranty
All ceiling strapping carried out alongside an insulation job carries the same 10-year workmanship warranty as our standard restrapping work. If there is a problem with our strap work, we come back.
