Perth's northern suburbs run through some of the highest-density fibrous plaster ceiling territory in the city. We cover the full corridor from Duncraig and Ocean Reef up through Joondalup to Wanneroo, Clarkson and beyond.
About this area
Most of the housing stock up here was built in the fibrous plaster era.
A large portion of homes from Duncraig, Greenwood and Padbury through to Joondalup and Wanneroo were built between 1970 and 1995. The fibrous plaster ceilings in these homes are reaching the age where the original saddle straps dry out and fail. Sagging ceilings are common across this corridor, and restrapping is almost always the right repair rather than a full replacement.
Further north through Clarkson, Butler and into Yanchep, the housing is newer and gyprock throughout. These ceilings need a different approach, usually re-screwing combined with fibreglass strapping when they start to move. We carry both skill sets.
There is also a significant volume of alfresco additions, granny flats and extensions through Wanneroo and the northern growth corridor. These often have gyprock ceilings that need repair or finishing once the build is done, and we regularly pick this work up alongside restrapping on the main house.

Ceiling restrapping, fibrous plaster
Homes from Duncraig to Joondalup and through Wanneroo are at peak restrapping age. We enter the roof space and install fibreglass straps to every sheet that needs it. Paint-ready finish, 10-year workmanship warranty on all strap work.
Gyprock repair and re-screwing
Newer homes through Clarkson, Butler and the northern growth corridor have gyprock ceilings. When screws back out or sections start to drop, we re-screw, strap and patch to a paint-ready finish. Small patches to full section replacements.
